KittyCheck Procedure:

Each of the KittyChecktests (1, 2, 3, or 4) is used separately, one packet per week or 7 days.  KittyCheck is sprinkled over fresh cat litter.

If there is more than one cat, we suggest that you isolate each cat-in-question and provide it with  its own litter box.

Step 1

Fill your cat’s litter box with half amount of litter you normally use. CAUTION: do not use bleach, or other strong cleaners, or baking soda to clean the box, as they may interfere with the outcome of the test.

 Step 2

Do not combine KittyCheckpackets together in the same litter box. Sprinkle the entire contents of the chosen KittyCheck packet over the prepared litter.  Make a note in the journal on the Product Insert.  Place the litter box in a dry area away from direct sunlight.  Avoid humid and damp areas.

Step 3

Check your cat’s litter box several times during the day if possible.  A distinctive color change with any of the KittyChecktest pieces in contact with cat’s urine indicates a potential problem (see the color chart below).  Record results in the journal on the Product Insert.
