Bladder cancer is common in older cats.

Typical signs:

  *      Blood in urine

*      Vaginal discharge

*      Straining to urinate

*     Urinating small amounts frequently

*      Other signs of bladder inflammation

Most common type: carcinoma, though lymphoma occurs too.  Unfortunately, the only recommended treatment for sarcoma is aggressive surgery.  Cats are responding to surgery better than dogs.  Chemotherapy may be helpful in lymphoma cases.

KittyCheck 1 Blood Indicator allows you to detect the presence of invisible blood in cat's urine.
